Indya Trevelyan, who was 20 months old, had been admitted to Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton with a severe cough. She was diagnosed with croup, a respiratory viral infection. Her condition deteriorated and an emergency operation was carried out to help her breathe. But the tube used to bypass her blocked airway became dislodged, the inquest heard.
